The below job description will outline this position of: Fleet Marine Engineer
Typically, this person will provide technical support across a fleet of vessels, ensuring they are maintained to a high operational standard. The role involves travelling between vessels to carry out maintenance, inspections and repairs, supporting onboard engineers, coordinating contractors and assisting with planned maintenance and dry docking activities.

Duties and responsibilities of the Fleet Marine Engineer :
- Travel across the vessel fleet carrying out maintenance, inspections and repairs
- Provide technical guidance and support to onboard vessel engineers
- Coordinate and manage external contractors for inspections, servicing and certification
- Assist with planning and managing vessel dry dockings and maintenance periods
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure planned maintenance systems are updated
- Identify required spare parts, obtain quotations and arrange procurement
- Support improvement initiatives across the fleet to increase reliability and efficiency
- Assist with training and evaluation of onboard engineering personnel
- Ensure vessels operate safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Occasionally sail as engineer onboard vessels to provide emergency cover if required
Qualifications and requirements for the Fleet Marine Engineer:
- Previous experience in a marine engineering or fleet engineering role
- Strong understanding of vessel maintenance, repairs and marine engineering systems
- Ability to travel across the UK and Europe as required
- Experience coordinating contractors, maintenance periods or dry dockings
- Good understanding of marine safety regulations and engineering standards
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
