The below job description will outline this position of: Quality Control Engineer
We are looking for a Production Quality Engineer to join an established marine buisness that offer a state of the art fleet located in Oxford.
As a production quality engineer/quality control engineer/ quality assurance engineer you will be responsible for the management of all quality related issues within the manufacturing team and to provide effective quality control.

Duties and responsibilities of the Quality Control Engineer:
- Promote a Positive culture by leading daily MRB meetings, managing internal issues, ensuring process compliance, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
- Oversee Goods Inwards QA inspections to ensure incoming materials meet specifications, while maintaining supply continuity.
- Record and track non-conformities (NCRs), develop reporting processes, and monitor NCR trends for timely resolution.
- Review and update work instructions with Product Development and Production Support, conducting regular shop floor reviews
- Work alongside the Supplier Quality Engineer in reviewing supplier metrics to reduce Cost of Poor Quality and its impact on production.
- Share data with production teams in regular meetings to highlight areas for improvement.
- Provide data for quarterly QA performance reports.
Qualifications and requirement for the Project Quality Engineer/Project quality engineer/Quality control Engineer/Quality Assurance
- Hold a manufacturing, engineering Qualification, or equivalent
- Experience as a QA in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong technical knowledge in marine, aerospace, or automotive industries, with the ability to read engineering drawings.
- Proficient in MS Office, Adobe, and SAP; SAP experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of QMS, 8D problem-solving, FAIR, PPAP, FMEA, and AS9100/ISO 9001
- Familiarity with ISO14001 and health & safety practices.
- Experience in process mapping and writing work instructions.
- Strong planning, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
