Working as the Assistant Service Manager, you will support the continued growth and success of the business by helping to ensure the Service Department operates efficiently and effectively. You will be highly organised and proactive, with strong Microsoft Office skills and a practical approach to problem-solving. You should be comfortable thinking on your feet, prioritising workloads and finding solutions when challenges arise.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating service jobs across the workshop and offshore operations, ensuring each job is correctly set up with the appropriate paperwork and communication in place. You will also manage parts enquiries and requisitions, prepare formal customer quotations and order products and materials to meet workshop and customer requirements.

In addition, you will support the commercial performance of the Service Department by helping to ensure service work is delivered profitably, efficiently and in line with the company’s QHSE standards.

Duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Service Manager:

• As the Assistant Service Manager, you will support the Service Manager with the day-to-day running of the department.
• Support the continued growth and success of the business by helping to ensure the Service Department operates efficiently and effectively.

• In addition, you will support the commercial performance of the Service Department by helping to ensure service work is delivered profitably, efficiently and in line with the company’s QHSE standards.
• Plan and coordinate workshop, field and offshore service jobs.
• Schedule engineers and subcontractors to meet customer requirements.
• Manage service jobs from initial enquiry through to completion and invoicing.
• Act as a key point of contact for customers, providing updates throughout each job.
• Prepare quotations, work packs, purchase orders and service documentation.
• Coordinate parts, travel, accommodation and site access where required.
• Monitor job costs and ensure service work is delivered efficiently and profitably.
• Ensure engineers have the correct training and certification before mobilisation.
• Maintain accurate records and support company QHSE and ISO requirements.
• Support and develop office and workshop staff.Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and internal processes.

Qualifications and requirement for the Assistant Service Manager:

• Understanding of QHSE in a similar working environment.
• Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Packages.3 years’ previous experience in a workshop environment.
• Drivers Licence
